PTCRB name PCS Type Certification Committee, which was established in March 1997, and in May 2001 joined the the requirements of GSM850 band, and is the development of an important milestone for United States Organization for Standardization.

  Similar as GCF, PTCRB is made up of big operators and the manufacturers of mobile phones, including some accredited laboratories. PTCRB members divided into two levels,Full or Active Members and Passive or Observing Members.
